ICDYAP @ Underbelly Public Arts 2010
Our first project, the 'ICDYAP Games lab', took place at Underbelly Arts Festival 2010. Here, we explored the idea of profiling participants through creative game play using written and visual stimulus. All the participants works were collated and published in Issue 1 of ICDYAP, a newspaper print publication.
Below are the blog records of this project. Enjoy.

We are interviewed in City Hub. Alice tells it how it is:
"I don’t know Joe Blow but I hope he comes to our Lab. I hope Joe Blow and all his friends come to the Lab, whatever their professions, penchants or proclivities. We don’t want just artists, the place is bloody crawling with them."

ICDYAP Day 01
Ok, so here are some photos from yesterday, day 1 of the ICDYAP install at Underbelly. We've been fielding lots of question about what exactly this project is all about, so hopefully this will give you all an idea. The response has been wonderful, and we would like to thank everyone who has come down and participated thus far... your work is beautiful and we hope we can do it justice!!!
Plenty more updates coming today and tomorrow.

Unknown Mr Squiggle
So, we are gonna upload bits and pieces of content created at the game stations. No bias whatsoever, so much great work has been produced already and it's hard to choose! Simone put this one aside because whoever drew this beautiful Mr Squiggle forgot to put down their ID number. If you were the creative culprit, please leave a comment down below so you can be properly attributed in the mag. We also just want to know who the hell you are.

ICDYAP Days 3, 4 & 5
So ICDYAP at Underbelly finished a few weeks back, and we were so run off our feet wrapping up the project that the updates for this blog fell by the wayside. To bring things up to speed, I'll start by posting some shots of the players and stations during the last few game workshop days of ICDYAP at Underbelly, Friday 9th to Sunday 12th of July. All in all we had 238 people come through over the 5 day workshop period, resulting in the creation of nearly a thousand visual, sculptural and written responses at the various game stations. Our task during and after this workshop period was to collate this work and create an artifact of the process (the ICDYAP magazine), as well as ehxhibit the works within the space for viewing on Underbelly festival day. More on that to follow.
